PeaceCastle Plattdeutsch Website with calendar & information

Brief overview

For PeaceCastle, I created a multilingual website in German, English, and Low German (Plattdeutsch). The focus is on clear information, a readable calendar view of booking availability (read-only), and clear calls to action (CTAs) that lead to the preferred booking channels (external platform, email, or phone).

Initial situation

  • Inquiries were primarily handled through existing channels (phone/email/platform).
  • There was a lack of consistent multilingual support and localized messaging.
  • Goal: Consolidate information, transparently display availability, and reliably guide users to the appropriate booking channel.

Solution

  • Web Design & UX: streamlined structure, quick orientation, mobile first.
  • Multilingual Content: full content available in German, English, and Low German (pages, navigation, info texts).
  • Calendar View: read-only display of availability; no on-page booking, instead clear redirects to phone/email/platform.

Result

  • Fewer inquiries thanks to clear information and visible availability.
  • Increased local relevance through the Low German version.
  • Stable user guidance: visitors reach the appropriate external booking channel more quickly.

Highlights

  • UX: clear structure, mobile first, fast orientation
  • Language: full Low German version in addition to DE/EN
  • Calendar: availability shown in read-only mode, no on-page booking
  • Efficiency: less clarification needed, consistent communication
